In the 40s, Abílio Ferreira de Carvalho developed a Sour Cherry Liqueur recipe in a small tavern. This recipe still used today, maintains the quality and the family tradition. Our liqueur is produced from fruit of the “Ginjais” (sour cherry trees) carefully selected to produce probably one of the best liqueurs in the world.
Licóbidos is a family business with over 60 years of history, left by his mentor and creator,Abílio Ferreira de Carvalho around the 40s. A family business which over the years was dedicated to the production of "Ginja" (sour cherry) liquor, duly certified as craft production unit by PPART.
"With an annual production capacity of 400,000 liters of liquor and with the capacity to produce about 2000 bottles per hour. We try every day to take our brand beyond never forgetting the quality that is the basis of our success.
