Clément VSOP is a benchmark French \"Rhum Agricole\" from the island of Martinique. Unlike the standard molasses-based rums you may be used to, this is distilled from 100% fresh sugarcane juice under the strict \"AOC Martinique\" designation. It is aged for a minimum of 4 years in a unique combination of virgin Limousin oak (for structure and spice) and re-charred ex-bourbon barrels (for vanilla and smoothness), giving it a profile that often draws comparisons to a fine Cognac or an earthy Highland Scotch.
