Officially known as Merlet Lune d’Abricot, this spirit is a revival of the traditional French \"Apricot Brandy.\" Produced by the Merlet family—who have been master distillers in the Charente region since 1850—it is widely considered one of the finest fruit liqueurs in the world, frequently chosen by professional bartenders for its balance of intense fruit and dry complexity. Unlike standard apricot liqueurs that can be cloyingly sweet, Merlet uses a high concentration of fruit and a touch of their own Cognac to add depth and structure.
