Oban Distillery Edition - Montillo Fino Finish 2007

The Oban Distillery Edition (2007 Vintage) is a highly refined Highland single malt that undergoes a double maturation process. While the standard Oban 14 is aged in ex-bourbon barrels, the Distillery Edition is finished in Montilla Fino sherry casks. +1 Montilla Fino is a dry, pale wine from the Montilla-Moriles region of Spain. Unlike the sweeter Oloroso or PX sherries used in many other whiskies, the Fino cask enhances Oban's maritime character with a crisp, nutty, and sophisticated dry fruitiness.
